SCENTS & RITUALS
Embracing The Season Shift
This time of year sees a transition from sunny evenings out to cosy nights in.
At this time we’re not quite ready to completely move away from the citrussy, fruity scents we enjoy during Summer, but do want to start adding those earthy, spicy notes that feel right for Autumn.
These are the scents we come back to at this time of year to help us embrace the change.
Strand
Evoking memories of late Summer beaches and salty sea air with the grounded warmth of fall, Strand is inspired by Copenhagen, a city that does both Summer and Autumn so well. As we approach the cooler months Strand bridges the gap with a light and airy seaweed and mandarin rind, with the subtle woodiness of bay leaf and birch wood offering a comforting, earthy base.
Atlas Cedar
Atlas Cedar’s versatility lends itself to the cosy months, where inspiration from the majestic cedar forests of the Atlas Mountains offer a sense of strength and serenity. With a rich, woody base and fresh green undertones that mimic the changing leaves on the trees, the warmth from the cedar wood and white musk invites you to wind down, with olive leaves breathing new life into a space during the seasonal transition.
TOP TIP
Gradually introducing new scents into your rotation can be done with the help of our Companion Sets. Instead of jumping from one season to the next, we like to ‘scentscape’ by placing complimenting scents in different rooms or burn two together creating a new sensory experience.
Jardin de la Lune
Reminiscent of the nights where Summer blends into the promise of Autumn, Jardin de la Lune is a luxurious combination of deep tuberose with blackberry leaf and bergamot. As the days grow shorter and the air cooler, Jardin de la Lune revitalises the space with a sense of quiet elegance, perfect for creating an inviting, reflective atmosphere as the seasons shift.
As we embrace the shift from Summer to Autumn, transitioning scents help to create a seamless shift between the vibrant energy of summer and the cosy embrace of fall. Whether it’s the cool-breeze freshness of Strand, the grounding depth of Atlas Cedar, or the aromatic elegance of Jardin de la Lune, let scent transform your home into a haven of warmth and tranquillity as you savour the bridging of the seasons.
At this time of year we also make the shift into burning incense cones and sticks for that all-encompassing sensory experience.
Incense Revival
With nostalgic scents back on people's mind, the ancient art of burning incense has found it's way back into people's homes.
