If your stay is a short one, let us guide your senses through Manchester's must visit hidden gems, with a breath of fresh air waiting just beyond the city limits.
Starting the journey at our East London headquarters, the car was packed for an overnight stay with stops along the way. We opted for the Range Rover Evoque, the ideal companion for both urban adventures and peaceful getaways.
Our Shinrin-Yoku air freshener scented the car with cedarwood and black pepper, designed to reduce stress, and improve your overall well-being - ideal for a long car journey. Now for the tunes! Easy listening and hours of tunes ready our playlist set us off ready for the trip.

Found in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter, Nordic Muse caters to those who appreciate beauty in everyday essentials. Having been a stockist of our Earl of East line since 2022, we of course wanted to stop by and say 'hello'. With an emphasis on contemporary design, their collection includes timeless jewellery pieces crafted from high-quality materials and modern home decor with a cosy, bohemian touch.
UNITOM
Just a few minutes walk from Nordic Muse you will arrive at UNITOM. Known for its minimalist, inviting space, it's a haven for art enthusiasts, creatives, and anyone with a passion for contemporary design, photography, fashion, and counterculture. Browse from a wide range of independent and self-published magazines and books, sourced globally from artists and small press publishers.
Eat
Siop Shop
Time to refuel—Siop Shop is known for its inventive range of baked goods, especially its doughnuts with unique flavours, and has quickly garnered a loyal following. With its cosy yet colourful atmosphere and handmade furniture, Siop Shop is the place to grab a bite and recharge with a coffee whilst you explore the city.
Erst
A Manchester hot-spot in the heart of Ancoats - a happening neighbourhood with an eclectic food and drink scene - we arrived at Erst hungry. Known for its seasonal menu and simple, sophisticated dishes, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience with a regularly evolving selection of small plates that emphasise fresh, locally-sourced ingredients—all were impeccable.
Pollen
Ahead of our journey back down to London the next day, we stopped into Pollen to pick up a coffee and a bit to eat. The bakery gained a loyal following for its exceptional sourdough bread and flaky pastries, and continues to specialise in slow-fermented sourdough and a wide array of Viennese-style baked goods like croissants, tarts, and seasonal specials.
Sleep
Native Hotel
We chose Native for our overnight stay in the city. Housed in the historic Grade II-listed Ducie Street Warehouse, this apart-hotel offers a stylish mix of old-world industrial charm with modern comforts.
Retreat
Curbar Edge
Seeking a retreat from the city, we planned a short drive from the city to the Peak District, in particular the views of Curbar Edge. With easy-to-access beauty spots (perfect for our little four legged Piper) and an amazing view point we marvelled at the rock formations and vast expanses of neighbouring towns Curbar, Froggatt and Calver.
Ladybower Reservoir
The final stop on our journey back down to London, Ladybower Resevoir is nestled between the scenic hills of the Dark Peak, and renowned for its striking beauty, with its vast waters reflecting the surrounding landscape—a must see. The winding 'snake road' led us through the reservoir and woodland forestry and got us thinking about the Japanese forests that inspired our Shinrin-Yoku scent...
