Copenhagen Breakfast Plate

Inspired by our annual trip to 3 Days of Design and Copenhagen’s incredible cafe scene, we've been seeking ways to elevate the classic brunch dish of avocado toast.

It was Copenhagen that inspired one of our core fragrances, Strand, and with its notes of seaweed and citrus, we wondered – how could we translate this scent onto the plate? We’ve come up with a super simple, lazy brunch that we hope you’ll enjoy as much as we did.

You'll Need


Loaf of bread (we used a dark rye)
Avocado
Good quality olive oil
Flaky sea salt
Nori
Sesame seeds
Chilli Flakes
Grapefruit
Fresh mint leaves
Matcha

Make It


Toast your choice of bread. We opted for dark rye because that was what we were in the mood for.

Slice your avocado. We attempted to fan ours out elegantly (like they do at Atelier September), but you could also mash it if you prefer.

Once your bread is toasted, drizzle a little olive oil on top, then arrange your avocado. Top with some chilli flakes, nori, and grated lemon zest.

Serve with a side dish of grapefruit dusted with matcha and mint leaves for the ultimate brunch experience.

The Scent: Strand


Strand is a sophisticated, layered scent that celebrates the seamless contrast of urban living intertwined with the sea air of Copenhagen. It's a complex blend of mandarin rind, seaweed, birch wood, and bay leaf.
